He performs at clubs and colleges across the country and has performed at TBS’ Just for Laughs Comedy Festival. Most recently, he performed on the 2015 Vans Warped Tour in their first ever comedy tent on all forty-one stops.
In Los Angeles, he performs regularly at The Laugh Factory, The Comedy Story, The Meltdown, The Improv, UCB Theater, and co-hosts the popular stand-up show Performance Anxiety at The Pleasure Chest with comedian T.J. Miller.
Eli also co-hosted The Morning After… Podcast with Jake Weisman, which was awarded Best New Podcast by Laughspin Magazine.
Winner of the "Battle for Vans Warped Tour '14" contest, SpaceCream never fails to pleasantly surprise audiences with the combination of powerful yet beautiful 70's inspired rock music and truly dynamic stage presence. The band is perhaps best described as "Ann Wilson in David Bowie's edition of Rocky Horror Picture Show."
It's been an exciting first year for SpaceCream! Between Warped Tour, releasing their first album (available on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, etc... ), and landing a Cover Artist feature on popular indie blog PopVulture Magazine, the band has been playing live as much as possible and cultivating an ever-growing community of misfit fans. Classic venues like the Viper Room and House of Blues have housed as many of their shows as alternative ones like the Doll Hut, Loaded, and El Cid.
Edelman’s 2015 follow-up show, Everything Handed to You, has garnered even more unanimous acclaim. It sold out its entire run at this year’s Fringe and earned a bushel full of great reviews – it was the second best reviewed comedy show at the entire Festival – and its first work-in-progress performance, at the Leicester Comedy Festival, garnered Edelman a nomination for Best New Show.
Both of Edelman’s hours have examined his position amongst his peer group and he has written intelligently about Millennials in The Guardian, The Atlantic, among other places.
Also, some other credits if you need them: He’s been opening for Simon Amstell a bunch this past year, which was really fun even though Simon is vegan. He’s also opened for Patton Oswalt, and toured with Eddie Izzard in Berlin and Moscow (!). He was a New Face of Comedy at Just For Laugh’s Festival in Montreal – which is like a big deal to comedy people and apparently two of your cousins – and, TV-wise, he’s done a surprising amount of Australian stuff, been on Comedy Central’s Comics To Watch and The John Bishop Show recently. He wore a suit on the latter and at the time his girlfriend said he looked handsome in his suit.
Although he has no personal life to speak of, he enjoys Italian food and David Foster Wallace.
Part of the Comedians Of Comedy tour along with Patton Oswalt, Zach Galifianakis and Brian Posehn.
